Scots bloke successfully floors two yobs allegedly abusing pigeons in Glasgow

THIS is the moment that a Scots bloke successfully fends off two yobs after accusing them of “abusing pigeons”.

Footage shows the two youths and the older man involved in a violent altercation outside The Counting House pub on Glasgow’s George Square.

The fight is believed to have begun after the two lads were spotted allegedly harassing pigeons by the passer-by, who took issue with their actions.

A few words are exchanged before the men start throwing punches at one another and a chair is launched at the so-called “pigeon protector”.

Video shows the two youngsters trying to intimidate the older man, despite outnumbering him, by grabbing one of the plastic chairs from the Counting House beer garden.

The second yob grabs a flagpole and launches it towards the man before it tumbles to the ground and the older man moves in to begin throwing hands with the alleged animal abusers.

Whilst outnumbered, the older man proves very capable and sends both of his younger opponents tumbling to the floor on George Square.

The man stands tall and shouts at the pair: “You’re abusing pigeons, you c***s.”

The two yobs then retreat towards West George Street and Glasgow Queen Street Station away from the man, who is still furious at their supposed actions.

A woman off-screen can be heard muttering: “F***ing hell.”

The shocking footage was posted on social media yesterday, with the caption: “They (sic) two younger dafties thought the old boy would be a push over and get slapped about.

“Imagine attacking someone with a chair and still getting done in, shambles.”

The post received over 11,000 likes and more than 500 comments as many were left rooting for the pigeon hero.

One person wrote: “’Mon the pigeons.”

Another said: “Well done. The pigeon protector put two neds on their a***s.”

A fourth added: “Beaten so bad that your legs try to pull you up to the promised land before you feel anymore of this. Damn.”

A fifth wrote: “Survival of the fittest. Well-played by the Rab C Nesbitt lookalike.”
