The lad’s hilarious blunder was caught on a CCTV camera on Tuesday, accidentally capturing his bad luck on film forever.

The young bloke’s bad luck saw him trip on the final step on a flight of stairs in what appears to be an office building, causing him to stumble straight onto a wall-mounted fire alarm.

The footage shows the bloke, dressed in black trousers and a black t-shirt, casually ambling down the flight of stairs.

As he nears the bottom, he nonchalantly tries to skip the last step in the flight, aiming to plant his foot directly on the floor.

However, the poor man misjudges it and accidentally catches his foot on the last step, sending him tumbling as his ankle twists.

Trying to maintain his balance, the lad plants one hand on the floor and one hand on the wall – accidentally smashing the fire alarm with the latter as he does so.

The fire alarm for the whole building is immediately set off and ringing can be heard in the background as the man jumps to his feet and quizzically fiddles with the alarm.

Safety measures launch into action and the doors in the corridor slam shut as the bloke frantically pulls his phone from his pocket and seems to send a message.

The panicked young lad looks around for a moment before absent-mindedly ambling to what appears to be an elevator, all whilst lights flash and alarms ring around him.

The footage was shared to social media yesterday with the caption: “T**t of the day.”

The hilarious clip has since gained over 850 likes and dozens of comments from social media users quick to chip in with their thoughts.

One user said: “As someone who works with fire doors it’s nice to see all the door closure systems working as they should.”

Another added: “As [a] fire alarm engineer, this is the kind of crap I get called out to.”

A third replied: “I [want to] see the footage for last 30 minutes… must have practiced that 100 times.”

Another wrote: “In his defence that last step shouldn’t be there.”
