Birmingham Aiport Police hilariously duped by crafty motorist’s seat covers following response to “suspicious people”

BIRMINGHAM Airport Police were hilariously duped by a crafty motorist’s seat covers after responding to two “suspicious people” in the car park.

Officers at the West Midlands airport spotted a pair of shifty individuals who had been hanging around in their motor in the car park yesterday.

Dispatching a group to head over to the scene and check out what the issue was, officers can’t have predicted what would greet them.

Instead of finding a pair of troublemakers, the female officers discovered that they had been duped and the shifty twosome were in fact seat covers designed to look like people sitting in the motor.

Images of the seat covers that fooled Birmingham’s finest show the brown car parked in one of the airport car park’s spaces, with two officers looking in through the driver’s window.

Inside can be seen two shapes which, upon first glance, appear to be a male and female sitting in their seats looking out the windshield.

However, the silhouettes are in fact crafty seat covers designed to look like a man in a green vest with long hair and a woman with long blonde hair.

The pair of seat covers appear very realistic without closer inspection, and the officers are left visibly tickled by the accidental prank as they lean into the window with a smile.

Birmingham Airport Police shared the snaps to social media yesterday with the caption: “To whoever owns these car seat cover, well played.

“Our officers spotted some ‘suspicious people’ that hadn’t left their car for some time and went to investigate.”

The post has since received over 600 likes and dozens of comments from users who were quick to share their thoughts on the officers and the seat covers they responded to.

One user said: “Police do anything to waste time.”

Another added: “I have seen these covers as two policemen it stops your car from being stolen.”

A third wrote: “Time wasting idle bs. Get on with your job.”

Another replied: “Owner needs arresting for extremely poor taste.”
