A SHOCKING video reveals how Britain’s streets become a “feral” rat run for speeding motorists after the daytime traffic clears.
Footage filmed on various roads in Bromley, South London captures dangerous drivers flying along the quiet streets at breakneck speed outside of rush hour.
The worrying clips come just over a week after a reckless Audi driver killed one man and hospitalised two others in a fatal crash on Soho Road in Birmingham, West Midlands on Sunday, 18 February.
The first video in the compilation of idiotic driving shows a white Mini fly by the person behind the camera through a bus lane at high speeds on a residential street.
The camera is barely able to keep up with the driver, who chooses to hit insane speeds despite the soaking wet conditions of the road.
A second clip shows another motor flying down a residential street in wet conditions with cars parked on both sides, ignorant of any possible pedestrians who may appear from between the stationary vehicles.
Two other clips show two more dopey motorists hurtling down the roads, completely ignoring the large warning markings on the surface that read “slow”.
The footage of the Bromley streets was shared to social media yesterday by a concerned resident of the area who wrote: “The usual Sunday fare in Bromley.
“Now the daytime gridlock has finished. Feral, unpoliced, chaos.”
The video has since received dozens of likes and comments from Brits who expressed their similar frustration with their residential streets becoming dangerous racetracks.
One user sarcastically said: “This is helping keep congestion down – drive quicker, spend less time on the road, less traffic blocking it all up. They’re so considerate!”
Another added: “A couple of well-placed speed bumps might sort this out.”
A third wrote: “Wheelbarrow full of bricks and set up camp. Brick every car that does it.”
Another commented: “I’ve seen the idiotic police out with speed cameras in rush hour/school run and being baffled why they didn’t catch anyone.”
