A SHOCKING moment shows a BMW driver bizarrely swerving and smashing into a fellow motorist at a junction on a Scots road.
The incident took place on Friday on Foulford Road in Cowdenbeath, Fife, and was caught on the dashcam of a shocked passing driver.
The BMW was seen apparently moving to pull up on the opposite side of the road before seemingly changing manoeuvres halfway through and swinging into a junction – colliding with an unsuspecting car right behind.
The video shows the unnamed driver of the filming car cruising along the quiet street in the damp conditions as a white BMW can be seen approaching in the distance.
As the car nears the BMW, the driver of the latter can be seen crossing onto the other lane of traffic opposite a junction, seemingly pulling up to park.
As they do this, a red Peugeot can be seen moving in from behind to pass the BMW that is apparently parking.
However, at the last second the BMW driver changes their mind, whipping the nose of their car round and into the other lane in a last-ditch attempt to turn into the junction.
The driver of the filming car sees where the situation is headed and honks her horn whilst shouting in disbelief: “What are you doing?”
Her efforts prove to be too little too late though and she exclaims as the BMW turns into the Peugeot, sending it flying off the road and into a metal barrier bordering the pavement.
The cars come to rest, and the bewildered driver of the Peugeot can be seen getting out to inspect the damage to his motor as the BMW slowly reverses back.
The footage was shared to social media on Friday with the caption: “Some absolutely superb driving in Cowdenbeath the day (sic).”
The clip has since racked up over 2,800 likes and more than 1,200 comments from social media users shocked by the motorist’s terrible driving.
One user said: “Good luck to the insurers sorting this one out.”
Another added: “Reading comments can see majority of people are idiots and must not drive under any circumstances. That’s why there is traffic so bad in UK (sic).”
A third claimed: “My mate just got that BMW today said he tried to clutch kick it to get it sideways into the junction. Made an absolute mess of it.
“Fool of a man. Have a good weekend mate getting the bus everywhere.”
A fourth added: “Yeah his insurance comp is going to love him.”
