A SCOTS UNIVERSITY is opening its doors next week for budding nurses to explore their learning opportunites.
The open day at the University of Dundee’s campus in Kirkcaldy, Fife will allow prospective healthcare workers to tour the campus and take the first step on their career path.
The campus has around 300 students studying there and offers placements and opportunties throughout Scotland, alongside its sister campus in Dundee.
Current student Natalie Payne said: “Studying at Kirkcaldy is such a fantastic experience and one which I hope others are keen to learn more about.”
Staff from the School of Health Sciences will be available to showcase the facilities the Fife campus has to offer, along with clinical skills being demonstrated in the site’s laboratory.
Opportunities will also be given to potential nurses to speak to staff and students about studying in Kirkcaldy and what they can expect if they enrol on the course.
Professor Linda Martindale is excited to show new students what the campus can offer, saying: “A career in nursing is immensely rewarding, professionally and personally, and our dedicated campus at Kirkcaldy provides students with a world-leading experience.”
“We are committed to providing the highest quality of learning for our students, and studying with us at Kirkcaldy provides the same standards as our campus in Dundee at a convenient, central location.”
The Open Day takes place at the University of Dundee School of Health Sciences, Forth Avenue, Kirkcaldy, on February 27 from 5pm – 7pm. The event is open to all.
