GLASGOW-based communications consultancy, Perceptive Communicators, has appointed Ed Monaghan as non-executive director with immediate effect.
Ed Monaghan spent 40 years with Mactaggart & Mickel Group, and was Chief Executive for 15 years.
Perceptive Communicators is a communications consultancy with a range of clients including Clyde Gateway, Cruden Group, hub South West, Lost Shore Surf Resort and Homes for Scotland.
While at Mactaggart & Mickel, Monaghan was recognised as Director of the Year by the Institute of Directors and led the team which won Family Business of the Year at The Herald Family Business Awards.
Monaghan was a director of City Legacy which delivered the Athletes’ Village for the Commonwealth Games in the East End of Glasgow.
Supported by Perceptive on communications, the Athletes’ Village won 25 awards, including the Queen’s Award for Enterprise.
Monaghan led the development and implementation of the district heating systems for the Athletes’ Village and also more recently at Shawfair near Edinburgh.
Monaghan is also Governor at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
