A SCOTS stove company have announced their choice for annual charity partner after raising five thousand pounds.
Bonk & Co based in the Highlands has selected The Archie Foundation as its 2023/24 charity partner, having already raised £5,000 for the local children’s hospital charity.
The family-run business recently hosted several internal fundraising events on behalf of The Archie Foundation, including an AGA cooking demonstration and a raffle.
The funds raised through the activities were recently presented to the Archie team at Bonk & Co’s Inverness location.
Alex Dolby, managing director, Bonk & Co, said: “We wanted to partner with The Archie Foundation because of all the fantastic work they do to support children and their parents during difficult times.
“When families may be in one of the most traumatic times in their lives, when a child may require hospital care, The Archie Foundation can be there to assist financially, administratively and emotionally.
“This is one of the main reasons why we wanted The Archie Foundation to be our charity of choice.
“We also are aware of the work that The Archie Foundation does within bereavement counselling for children and believe this is something incredibly important.
“It brings us a lot of joy and pride to be supporting a charity that does such meaningful work.
“The Bonk & Co team are all incredibly honoured to be partnering with such a fantastic charity and look forward to continuing this ongoing partnership,” Alex added.
Zoe Grant, regional fundraising co-ordinator at The Archie Foundation, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to the team at Bonk & Co for choosing The Archie Foundation as their charity partner, and for all the support they’ve shown so far.
“Every penny donated is greatly appreciated and goes directly to supporting children and families at Raigmore Hospital and right across the North of Scotland.
“It was lovely to go to Bonk & Co’s headquarters in Inverness to meet the whole team.
“Being able to share with them the work we do, so they know how important their support is and what their donations will go towards, was really great.
“As a charity, we are nothing without our incredible supporters, so their hard work and continued support means a lot.”
The Archie Foundation aims to transform experiences and outcomes in healthcare for babies, children and families across the Highlands and Islands, the North-east and Tayside.
The charity also provides financial aid and vital bereavement services to local families who need support.
