“Just yeet”: Shocking video shows Scots Just Eat cyclist in tug of war over bike with driver whose keys he hurled away in bizarre scrap

THIS is the moment a Scots Just Eat delivery man gets into a bizarre scrap with a driver after he hurled his van keys down the road.

Tawny Rutherford was on her way to work yesterday in the Leith area of Edinburgh when she came up behind the two men, who were in a heated argument with each other.

The 22-year-old couldn’t believe her eyes as she watched the cyclist brazenly snatch the driver’s keys from him and toss them away – resulting in a hilarious tug of war over the man’s bike.

The shocking video shows the cyclist aggressively throwing his bike – as well as his Just Eat delivery bag – to the ground in the middle of the road.

He then approaches the man in the van whilst mid-argument, shouting: “No you’re the one who nearly killed me – go get your f***ing keys.”

The infuriated cyclist then reaches into the man’s van, seemingly snatching his car keys from him and hurling them down the road.

The driver responds by leaving his van and calmly removing his sunglasses before lifting up the man’s white bike and dragging it down the road towards his keys.

The two men then bizarrely walk down the road to retrieve both their bike and keys as other road users look on in bewilderment, stuck in the traffic jam that the pair’s confrontation has created.

The two men can then be seen in the distance hilariously having a tug of war over the bike with both men holding one wheel each.

A man in the traffic jam can be heard saying “F***ing cyclists are the worst.”

The video was uploaded to social media by Tawny last night with the caption: “Go get your f***ing keys.”

The video has received over 1,300 likes and more than 100 comments from users left in stitches by the peculiar argument.

One user wrote: “Did somebody say just yeet?”

Another commented: “‘Takes glasses off’ now watch me drag this bike.”

A third said: “Great Britain in a nutshell. Wouldn’t have it any other way.”

One user asked: “What was the point of the bike grab?”

Speaking today Tawny said: “The cyclist was coming up Leith Walk and was almost hit when this black van turned left onto Dalmeny Street.

“The cyclist wasn’t physically hurt or thrown from the bike at all, he just had to brake harshly at the road opening – there were other pedestrians waiting to cross at the time.

“I would say the van had the right of way to turn left onto Dalmeny Street.

“However when the cyclist had to come to a sudden stop he became angry and started shouting before taking a quick left onto Dalmeny Street to follow the black van.

“When the van had come to a stop in traffic the cyclist started banging on his window and screaming at the driver.

“He then started putting his hands in the van and attacking the driver. This went on for around ten minutes but I never managed to get it all.

“I was actually quite shocked at the way the cyclist had behaved, especially as he was the one in the wrong.

“I’m a community care assistant based in Edinburgh and was on my way to work at the time of the incident – it actually held me up and many of my clients had later visits yesterday due to this.”

Police Scotland have been approached for comment.
