A WOMAN has hilariously recreated the infamous t-shirt scene from the first Inbetweeners movie with her family as they jetted off on holiday.
Holly Morris was flying to Rome with her parents, brother and boyfriend for a getaway last month and decided to don t-shirts bearing a hilarious resemblance to those seen in the iconic Brit movie.
In the film, the four friends – Jay, Will, Simon and Neil – embark on a typical lad’s holiday to Malia, Greece, which gets underway with Jay gifting each of his friends a customised t-shirt.
The pink t-shirts featured a crude image of an animated cat captioned ‘Pussay Patrol’ and included names on the back of each shirt unique to each member of the troupe.
Jay’s name read ‘Mr. Big Nob’, Neil was deemed ‘Mr. Ladykiller’ and Simon was given the moniker ‘Mr. Rebound’ whilst Will drew the shortest straw with ‘Mr. I f**k kids‘.
Despite wearing the t-shirts on their walk through the airport, their plans are duly scuppered when they reach the desk and are asked to remove the shirts or they won’t be allowed to board the plane.
Holly, 29, introduced her take on the moment with a clip which begins with her addressing the viewers in-front of a background which shows a picture from the iconic movie scene.
She says: “Guys, bare with me, I think that I might have lost the plot.
“I basically watched the Inbetweeners movie before I went on holiday and I saw this scene when they all come out in these tops and I decided to recreate it with my family – let me show you the video.”
The video then cuts to her showing her family consisting of dad Nigel, brother Tom and Holly’s boyfriend Rory whilst her mum takes charge of camera duties.
The clip shows the family slowly individually walking out of the airport elevator clad in their own customised pink t-shirts as the same music from the film plays in the background.
Instead of Jay’s crude slogan though, the front of the family’s t-shirts reads: “What happens in Rome stays in Rome.”
The camera then follows the family as they slowly make their way through the terminal and line up in a row as the video pans to reveal each of the nicknames printed on their backs.
Holly’s brother Tom gains the nickname ‘Mr. Dry Spell’, Holly opts for ‘Miss Beauty & Brans’, her boyfriend Rory’s t-shirt reads ‘Mr. Plus One’ and dad Nigel hilariously has ‘Mr. In Bed by 9pm’.
Holly uploaded the video to TikTok last Tuesday with the caption: “I am deceased. How did I get them to agree to this.”
The clip has received more than 36,000 likes and hundreds of comments from users left in stitches by Holly’s hilarious plan.
One user wrote: “Holly I’m crying, this is the best thing I’ve ever seen on TikTok oh my God.”
Another wrote: “Beauty and brans, I’m howling.”
A third commented: “You have peaked – you can’t get better than this. This is amazing.”
Another replied: “Is your dad Simon’s dad?”
Speaking today content creator Holly said: “Me and my family love watching The Inbetweeners and we watch the movies quite a lot, it’s quite a weird family tradition.
“I’ve seen that scene millions of times where they walk into the airport and I just thought that it was really funny.
“I thought ‘Oh, I wonder if me and my family could do that’ because we were all going to Rome together.
“So, I watched the scene back so I knew exactly what shots it was that I needed and I also knew that my mum didn’t want to be in it, so we had a film crew!
“I went to Rymans and bought the printing stuff and then went to Primark to get the tops.
“I also came up with the front slogan as I didn’t think that we’d get away with Pussay Patrol.
“I couldn’t really see my dad wearing that so I had to come up with something different, that’s when me and my brother brainstormed ‘What happens in Rome stays in Rome.’
“We then had to go through and work out what each of our Mr and Mrs nicknames would be.
“For my dad we went with ‘In bed by 9pm’ because he gives it the big one saying that he’s going to go on a big night out when actually he just ends up going to bed.
“Rory got ‘Plus One’ because he’s my boyfriend so he’s not quite part of the Morris clan.
“My brother got ‘Dry Spell’ because he’s not getting any action which we thought was quite entertaining.
“I got ‘Miss Beauty and Brains’ because when I was writing it out I actually misspelt brains and we thought that was quite funny so we kept that in so instead it actually reads ‘Miss Beauty and Brans’ which is very on brand.
“I sent them all what they were going to be doing and we arrived at the airport a bit earlier and got ourselves in position.
“It was really quiet at the airport, it was about six in the morning so everyone was just being quiet and chilling, bar us.
“Some people were looking but I think that they were too tired to actually react, although we did have to let a few of them in and out of the lift as we were blocking it while filming.
“I think it’s great that so many people loved it, I loved making it, we were all in tears laughing and watching it back so it’s great that other people remember that scene and enjoyed it.”
