THIS IS the amazing moment a crowd of football fans join a city centre busker to serenade passersby with a rendition of an Oasis classic.
Craig English captured the moment on camera yesterday in Hull, East Yorkshire before Hull City’s clash against Millwall in the English Championship.
The 48-year-old was doing his rounds as a refuse collector in the city when he saw around 50 youths approach a young female busker with an apparent plea to play a favourite tune of theirs.
The video begins with the unnamed busker singing beneath the canopy of the Secret Garden Cafe on Jameson Street in Hull’s city centre.
The camera then pans to the group of football fans who stand in a crescent shape looking on at the busker, before they begin to sing along to much-loved Oasis track Don’t Look Back in Anger.
The fans at first seem a little unsure of themselves before finding their voice and belting out a pitch-perfect chorus of the song whilst raising fists in the air.
The heartwarming moment came as the fans were en-route to Hull’s KCOM stadium to watch their team in action.
The heartwarming moment happened around 1:30pm before the fans travelled to Hull’s KCOM stadium to watch their team in action.
Craig shared the touching video online yesterday, writing: “I’m grafting away and these young Hull City casuals came up and started singing Don’t Look Back In Anger with the young lady, class lads.”
The video has received hundreds of retweets and over 3,000 likes from users who heaped praise on the youngsters.
One said: “Good old Hull.”
Another added: “Fair play lads, well done.”
A third commented: “Generations come and go, Oasis are loved from one to the next. Absolute timeless success.”
A fourth replied: “Because we’re black and amber, you’ll hear us say.”
Speaking today, Craig said: “I was working and I saw around 50 youths or so coming up the street.
“One of them approached the young lady and then turned around and put his thumbs up to the rest of the group.
“It was really nice to see as the youth of today get a bit of bad press, they only stayed for around 10 or 15 minutes before heading towards the ground as it was an hour and a half before the game.
“I’d imagine that they were over the moon with the result as well but it was just very nice to see and something to make people smile as people were walking up the high street and stopping to listen.”
The Yorkshire side battled to a 1-0 win over Millwall which saw them rise up to mid-table – the club sit 10 points off of the play-offs but still have a slim mathematical chance of making it.
