LINE OF DUTY star Martin Compston has revealed that he sleeps with his bank card in his pocket – just so he can order a Domino’s pizza without leaving his bed.
The Scots actor spoke about his lazy life hack whilst chatting to Gordon Smart on their podcast, Restless Natives, on Saturday.
Smart outed 38-year-old Compston by airing his pal’s snacking secret – before the Sweet Sixteen star proudly admitted it and went on to talk about his love for pizza.
Trying not to laugh, co-host Smart, 42, said: “You revealed that you sometimes have gone to bed in the past with your credit card in your pyjama bottoms in case you need it for Domino’s.”
Compston, from Greenock, Inverclyde, responded: “Yeah, for my Domino’s. So you don’t need to leave bed!
“But I always forget that I’m doing it.”
Compston then went on to describe his most recent pizza order when his wife went out for the day.
He added: “I had one the other day, a masterful day. Tianna and the wee one were away and I had a Sunday to myself.
“I literally told nobody where I was, no mates, no family.
“Then I think, god bless her, my mum said she had my nephew so I just said I’m locking the doors, Super Sunday Man City v Liverpool and I got my Domino’s order in.
“Bottle of Irn-Bru, 14 Frank’s Red Hot wings, that’s just to set you up, and this is my pizza order. I think this is unbeatable – pepperoni, tandoori chicken and jalapenos.”
His co-host Gordon Smart playfully joked with Compston that he had covered three continents with his pizza, saying: “I tell you what, you’re a global guy.”
Compston then added that he likes having a “big boy” garlic and herb dip on the side, before adding: “You feel amazing after it, it’s like going to the gym.
“I’m just a man of the people from everywhere.”
Compston and Smart named their podcast after Scots cult film, Restless Natives, where two Edinburgh teens rob tour buses by motorbike.
