HILARIOUS images show a flock of cheeky swans photobombing the iconic Kelpies sculptures in Falkirk.
Sarah O’Reilly was trying to take a downwards angled photograph of the huge equine sculptures in Helix Park on Monday when the inquisitive trio decided they wanted in on the action.
Images show the curious birds poking their heads out of the pond in front and blending perfectly in with the colours of the sky and sculptures.
The 30 metre tall steel Kelpies tower behind them but don’t look that much larger in comparison due to the angle of the camera.
The swans are shown stretching and folding their necks, seemingly in an attempt to mimic their gigantic counterparts.
Administrator Sarah, 37, shared the images on social media later on that day, writing: “New additions to the Kelpies.”
The post has now collected over 300 likes and comments from social media users who loved the amazing shots.
Facebook page Falkirk Explored wrote: “Photobomb.”

Speaking today Sarah, from Carronshore, Stirlingshire, said: “Me, my son and my niece were out cycling around the kelpies and we were about to head home when we noticed about five young swans at the water in front of the kelpies.
“We went over to say hello and my niece had crisps they were trying to get at.
“So I kneeled down as I saw it to be a perfect photo opportunity.
“I was fairly chuffed at how they turned out.
“I had a few friends say I should get into photography cause I seem to catch brilliant photos at the right time.
“I think they were wanting to become the new attraction to the Helix.
“They definitely were stretching their necks to become a kelpie.”
A kelpie, or water-kelpie, is an ancient mythical Scottish creature which is said to shape shift and inhibit Scottish Lochs.
They are described throughout Scottish folklore as a blackhorse-like creature which is able to adopt human form.
The Kelpie sculptures were opened in 2014 and are the largest equine sculptures in the world.
Created by artist Andy Scott the attraction was built using 300 tonnes of steel and reaches over 30 metres high.
