Shocking video shows brutal head-on collision after driver pulls out of junction without stopping

A SHOCKING video shows a brutal head-on collision between two cars after a driver pulled out of a junction without stopping to check first.

Dash-cam footage captured the crash on the R149 in Summerseat, County Meath, near Dublin, Ireland, last month which led to both drivers being hospitalised.

The video shows a black Nissan beginning to pull out to turn right onto the road from a stop junction

However the driver does not appear to have spotted another vehicle which is hurtling down the road towards them.

Just as the Nissan driver turns into the road, the car hits another vehicle head-on.

Both car bonnets collide with force before the Nissan rolls slowly back onto the stop junction while smoke can be seen coming out of both vehicles.

Andy Murray posted the crash clip onto TikTok later on that day, writing: “Crash in Clonee, everyone was fine it was just two adults involved.”

The post has now collected over 400,000 views and more than 15,500 likes.

Hundreds of comments were left with most slamming the driver for pulling out without doing necessary checks.

Speaking today 65-year-old Séamus Murray who captured the dashcam footage said: “I was just driving along a dark country road approaching a T junction.

“The car in front of me stopped at the junction then drove out in front of a car on the right hand side.

“Airbags were deployed in both vehicles. The two drivers were taken to hospital to be checked out.

“I found out the next day that the driver in the Honda was released from hospital. The driver of the car in front of me that caused the accident apparently was very dazed for a long time after the accident.

“I called emergency services from the SOS button that is built into my Tesla car.

“This was very handy as it helped the emergency services to see exactly where I was on a map in their call center.

“I was in a little bit of shock myself and could not describe to emergency services my location as it was a country road.”
