Renowned Scottish festival given green light as Covid restrictions to be lifted

A RENOWNED traditional Scottish festival has been given the green light as Covid restrictions are set to be lifted.

The Celtic Connections music festival is set to go ahead with live indoor performances to proceed without capacity limits in Scotland from Monday 24 January.

More than 50 shows are programmed to take place between then and the 6th of February with tickets for these in-person shows now on sale.

Festival passes for the digital programme will also be on sale from Friday.

Priced at £25, a digital ticket will give people access to at least 12 hours of exclusive filmed live content from across the festival for a three-week period starting Wednesday 26th January.

More detail about artists included in the online programme will be revealed when tickets go on sale.

The first live filmed sessions at Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall is set to take place this tomorrow.

‘Neath the Gloamin’ Star, comes to life in front of an intimate audience of 200 people for the opening night of the festival.
