1.25pm Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle (2m 4f)

An interesting opener in which Guido Reni looks sure to run well having finished second last time out. However, the vote goes to Balranald who was a good second on his latest start. He has changed yards since that win but should go well.

Selection: Balranald

2.00pm Handicap Chase (3m)

Istimraar is a course and distance winner had to be respected, along with fellow last time out winner Breaking The Ice. However, the verdict does to Seemingly So. He has to defy top-weight in this event but shaped with plenty of promise when third on his latest start and gets the vote.

2.35pm Handicap Hurdle (2m)

Stonific impressed in a very competitive event last time out and has to be high on the shortlist along with Bellaney Gem who impressed when scoring in good style at Cartmel last time out. However, preference is for course and distance winner For Three. He has the services of Brian Hughes and despite a 4lb rise in the weights, there looks to be more improvement to come and he earns the vote.

Selection: For Three

3.10pm Handicap Chase (2m 4f)

Two course and distance winners in this event with Cracking Destiny and Amalfi Doug both looking to have leading claims. However, the vote goes to Solar Impulse. A winner of two of his last three starts, he was booked to win at Market Rasen last time out before falling at the second last. If he is over that fall he should go close in this event.

Selection: Solar Impulse

3.45pm Handicap Hurdle (3m)

Golden Chancer is a course and distance winner who warrants respected in this contest, however Headscarf Lil should prove tough to beat. The seven-year-old returned to something like her best when second at Uttoxeter and she remains thoroughly unexposed over hurdles following just four runs over timber. She has to carry top-weight here, but looks up to the task.

4.20pm Handicap Chase (2m)

Follow Your Fire has been in good form this term and demands respected. However, Silken Moonlight may be able to record a second straight win. Victorious at Cartmel by a neck last time out a 5lb rise looks fair and there could be more improvement to come in this race.

Selection: Silken Moonlight

4.55pm Bumper (2m)

Fizzle Rock is a fascinating runner having scored at Downroyal on debut, before finishing third at Killarney on her latest start. She brings proven experience to this event and has to be high on the shortlist. However, the newcomer Lily Du Berlais makes more appeal. A €25,000 buy, the daughter of Shirocco makes appeal on pedigree and has the services of Brian Hughes in the finale.

Selection: Lily Du Berlais
