THE public are to be given a say on a new employment development in Dalkeith, Midlothian.
Buccleuch Property are aiming to deliver a new employment development in Salter’s Park in Dalkeith.
The new development redevelops the current site to generate considerable employment opportunities for the area.
Developers will submit a Proposal of Application Notice (PAN) to Midlothian Council to inform plans of submitting a planning application for the development following a minimum 12-week consultation period.
An online consultation will take place between 3 pm to 7 pm on July 15 due to the Scottish Government suspending in-person public consultation events due to the pandemic.
Consultants will be available to answer questions and receive public feedback which can also be submitted via the website.
A spokesperson at Buccleuch Property said: “We’re delighted to be giving the public the chance to have a say on our development proposals in Salter’s Park.
“This exciting development will deliver economic benefits to the community by providing new employment uses to the area.
“We are consulting extensively to ensure that that the public have an opportunity to input their views and shape our proposals. We encourage the community to attend and ask any questions they may have.”
Any suggestions for changes to the proposals shared during the online event will be included in a pre-application consultation report to accompany future applications.
