Important maintenance gets underway on the M77 Northbound

TRANSPORT Scotland are undertaking essential maintenance on the M77 northbound between the railway bridge and Junction two later this week.

Work will be carried out between the hours of 8pm and 6am, each night, from Saturday 22nd May until Thursday 27th May, with works will be complete the morning of Friday 28th May 2021.

This scheme requires full overnight road closures from the M77 northbound Junction three off-slip road to Junction two on-slip road including the closure of Junction three on-slip roads.

Traffic intending to travel on the M77 northbound will be diverted to exit via the Junction three off-slip road onto Leggaston Road and will proceed onto Darnley Mains Road and Nitshill Road.

At the Kennishead Road Junction, traffic will turn right and at the Boydstone Road / Barrhead Road Junction, traffic will turn left and be able to rejoin the M77 northbound at Junction two.

The project is part of the Network Management Contract for the South West Trunk Road Unit and will follow strict physical distancing and hygiene protocols throughout the programme, in line with the Scottish Government’s COVID-19 guidance.
