SHOCKING images shared by police show a £250,000 Ferrari that has been obliterated in a horrifying crash on a 30mph road.

The supercar collided with a Peugeot yesterday morning on Chester Road in the city centre of Manchester.

The Peugeot Summat which collided with the car was also photographed with the front passenger side of the vehicle also in pieces.

As well as this, the airbags of the Peugeot appear to have gone off due to the sheer impact of the crash.

According to police, only minor injuries were suffered in the horrific crash.

GMP Traffic shared the images onto their Twitter page yesterday and captioned their post: “Two vehicle RTC on Chester Road this morning involving minor injury.

“We are aware of potential CCTV that may assist our investigation into the circumstances and would ask anyone with footage to email GMP Police.”

They then provided an update later that same day saying: “We can confirm at this stage no CCTV / Dash cam has been recovered or passed to police.

“We are aware of comments to suggest the investigating officers have established the speed of the vehicles involved – this is not the case.

Since police shared the shocking images yesterday social media users have been sceptical about the speed both drivers must have been travelling at.

@mckeetomheart posted: “I’m no crash scene investigator but I’m going to suggest Mr Ferrari may have been a little over the limit…”

Social media users expressed their thoughts on the pictures.

@MancunianWez commented: “That’ll buff out.”

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police today said: “At around 9.27 yesterday morning police were called to a report of a two vehicle road traffic collision on Chester Road.

“A Ferrari 488 and a Peugeot 308 were involved in the incident.

“No serious injuries were reported.”
