Cops pull over motorist with desk hanging out of boot

SHOCKING images captured by police show how a driver attempted to transport a large wooden desk – which hung out the boot of their car.

Cops from the NW Motorway Police pulled over the red Peugeot yesterday on the M60 motorway in Manchester.

Officers had spotted the vehicle sitting in lane one of the busy road travelling at a dangerously low 25mph.

A large wooden desk, which was completely unsecured, was also clocked protruding from the rear of the estate car.

Images shared by police after they pulled over the driver show the large desk sticking out from the boot.

No restraint or cables can be seen attempting to secure the office furnishing except from a small bungee cord which is sitting on the boot hydraulic.

Police then shared images of the car onto their Facebook page in the early hours of this morning, captioning their post: “ This Peugeot was sighted on the M60 earlier in lane one at 25mph with its hazards illuminated.

“The desk in the boot was protruding out of the vehicle and not secured, nor was the boot.

“Removed off network and prohibited.

“Driver reported for all offences.”

Since police shared the images earlier this morning social media users have been commenting on the drivers stupidity.

Christopher Wilson commented: “You have to be kidding! Does the driver have a brain, you have to wonder?”
