New release of homes at fast-selling development offer “WFH” havens

DEDICATED offices and full-fibre broadband combine to provide a perfect work-from-home environment at an independent developer’s fastest-selling site.

Dundas Estates’ Pace Hill development in Milnathort, near Kinross, has launched three new three-bed homes at the sought-after development, which has seen demand soar as buyers increasingly seek space and solace.

The three-bedroom terraced villas from the Livingston-based firm’s Elliot house type are on the market from £219,995, offering value and flexibility over three stories.

Dundas Estates has sold over a third of the Pace Hill development in less than a year.

Heather Birrell, Sales Manager at Pace Hill, said: “After a welcome surge in demand for reservations we have released three new properties at this sought-after development.

“Our Elliot properties are the perfect blend of a work from home, family-orientated house at an affordable price.”

Heather believes lockdown has had a significant impact on demand at Pace Hill, with properties offering ample space for a work from home environment.

She added: “There’s no doubt that the driver for this demand is lockdown. We’ve all heard anecdotal evidence of people wanting to move to bigger homes because of their experiences.

“However, we are seeing between five and seven times the expected demand, which is exceptional. We’re as surprised as we are delighted by this. We know this is a brilliant development so it’s lovely to see that being recognised.

“Our team is hearing the same messages over and over. Couples who are working from home in smaller homes, especially flats, are desperate for more space to do their jobs and a home office is now a must for them.

“Meanwhile parents with young kids are also desperate for more room indoors and also for gardens or other outdoor space. Again, the demands of lockdown and home schooling have really fuelled that.

“Milnathort is a lovely location, but might previously have been considered too far from a main city for some buyers. That is no longer the case. These properties come into their own at a time like this.”

The Elliot offers buyers two double bedrooms and an en-suite, as well as an extensive office space/third bedroom.

The terraced homes also provide a large lounge area, and a sizeable kitchen/dining room with garden space.

With a population of around 2000, Milnathort is near Loch Leven and the scenic Ochil Hills. Despite its rural setting, it is well connected, particularly via the M90, to Edinburgh, Dundee, Perth and Stirling.  With a number of pubs, cafes and a local primary school, it is also just a short distance from nearby Kinross, which offers further amenities.

The Pace Hill development will comprise 77 properties – including 10 affordable homes – when completed in 2022. The properties are a mix of three, four and five bedroom homes.

In delivering much-needed new family homes to the area, Pace Hill has already proved popular with many of its properties occupied by delighted new owners.

Dundas Estates is a multi-award winning, friendly and independent homebuilder which creates homes that make people feel great. It is proudly independent and Scottish-owned, with a track record of building well-designed homes.
