EDUCATION Scotland have announced the appointment of a new Strategic Director.
Ollie Bray will join the organisation from the LEGO Foundation in Denmark and will start the new role in February 2021.
Mr Bray, was formerly a Fellow of the Scottish College of Educational Leadership and offormer Non-Executive Board Member of Inverness College: University of the Highlands and Islands.
Prior to joining the LEGO Foundation Ollie was headteacher at Kingussie High School in Highland.
Before taking up his post in Highland he was seconded to Learning and Teaching Scotland and Education Scotland as National Adviser for Emerging Technologies in Learning.
He started his teaching career as a Geography Teacher in East Lothian where he went on to hold a number of middle manager and senior leadership posts.
He also led the Foundations COVID-19 Response on Distance Learning.
Ollie Bray, said “I’m excited to apply all that I have learned in over twenty plus years of education, business and phianthorogy to contribute to Scotland’s ambition to be the best place in the world for children and young people to grow, live, learn, dream and play”.
Mr Bray served for a number of years on the BBC Education Advisory Council for Scotland.
