Real Madrid Signs Agreement with easyMarkets as It Prepares for the Transfer Season

With the 2019/2020 La Liga season ended with Real Madrid CF as the reigning champions, the summer period continues to be active for the club, as “Los Blancos” had signed a three-year sponsorship deal with easyMarkets, which will be the Club’s Official Online Trading Partner.

easyMarkets – the new online trading partner of Real Madrid

The agreement between Real Madrid and easyMarkets, an online trading provider, regulated by CySEC, holding multiple awards, is not a big surprise, considering both companies are leaders in their respective fields. On one side, “Los Blancos” had managed to win 91 trophies throughout their history, with the latest La Liga championship topping the list.

On the other hand, easyMarkets had been leading the way in the retail forex trading industry since 2001, pioneering the transition towards democratized financial markets. Thanks to its contributions, traders all around the world (except several restricted areas like the US, or sanctioned countries) now have access to a wide range of tradable assets, such as forex, shares, indices, commodities, cryptocurrencies, or vanilla options.

In a recent Press Release issued by the broker, Ohan Golan, Chief Marketing Officer at easyMarkets, acknowledged the company was “looking to partner with a team that has instant recognizability, a rich history, and a loyal, dedicated fan base”. Indeed, entering a sponsorship arrangement with Real Madrid is likely to provide a boost for easyMarkets marketing efforts, due to the stature of the club and its global fanbase.

Conservative transfer window ahead?

Under the second term of Zinedine Zidane, Real Madrid regained its shape and became one of the most consistent football clubs in the world. The team had not lost any match since March 3rd, in an away match against Real Betis. Given the incredible condition, as well as the financial uncertainty generated by the coronavirus pandemic, the transfer window is not expected to be spectacular, according to the Spanish publication AS.

One of the main targets of the team is the PSG forward Kylian Mbappe. The 21-year-old continues to impress in the French league as well as in the Champions League. News is encouraging for “Los Blancos”, who want to acquire Mbappe’s services in 2021. The French player has stalled on a new deal with PSG, despite three separate offers being provided so far.

Ligue 1 is the main market for Real Madrid looking forward since the team is also monitoring Eduardo Camavinga, the Rennes midfielder. His deal at Rennes is set to expire in 2022 and in the absence of a new agreement, the team will be interested in a transfer offer.

According to AS, one of the transfers that might be completed during this summer is that of Benoit Badiashile, a 19-year old central defender at AS Monaco. However, it is important to note that this is not a major priority for the team. At present, Real Madrid alongside other major clubs had not opened deep pockets, waiting for more clarity after the uncertainty and disruption caused by Covid-19.
