Savvy mum bags £200-worth of Coast clothing for 2p from House of Fraser website

A SAVVY shopper bagged the ultimate bargain after she managed to buy high end Coast clothing worth £200 – for just 2p.

Natalie Durant from Lowestoft, Suffolk, was delighted when she saw the discounted top and dress for sale on the House of Fraser website.

The 31-year-old dental nurse was tipped off by a Facebook post about the brand, fans of which include former Strictly Come Dancing judge Alesha Dixon and The Only Way is Essex star Lydia Bright.

Mum-of-three Natalie managed to nab a monochrome striped wrap dress worth £149 and a silky tie-neck top worth £49, both for just 1p each.

A delighted Natalie took to Facebook to share her purchases.

The post that Natalie made, showing her cheap her items cost.

She posted photos of the garments and her receipt with the caption: “My 1p Coast items from House of Fraser online.”

Fellow social media users have been impressed by Natalie’s finds.

One woman said: “Wow, that is a bargain.”

Another user added: “Love coast, I need to get more savvy! They’re way past a bargain!”

And another woman replied: “Great bargain, they look great.”

Many other shoppers had also spotted other 1p Coast items, but hadn’t been as lucky.

Other 1p bargains included a £25 pink fascinator, a black mesh dress worth £89 and a cardigan worth £49.

When a reporter attempted on Tuesday to buy the items, the website returned an “unavailable”. Today the items were absent altogether from the site.

Natalies invoice shows how the items cost only 1p.

Speaking today, Natalie said: “After never being lucky enough to find such bargains, I was so pleased to actually get myself something nice for so cheap, especially this time of year when it’s time to start Christmas shopping.

“I just so happened to randomly check the House of Fraser website one morning and there were some other items for 1p.

“I quickly ordered them, thinking they would end up emailing me saying they were out of stock or not available, but luckily the order was processed and the items arrived on Monday.

“Myself and my partner are planning our first date night since our baby girl was born, so I’ll probably wear the top for that and make an effort from my usual school run attire.

“It’s nice to treat myself without having to break the bank or feel guilty.”

Last week Michelle Nolan, from Liverpool, revealed she had managed to score a £139 Coast dress for just 1p from the House of Fraser website.

House of Fraser began shutting its 58 stores last year after falling into financial difficulty.

The business was bought out of administration in August last year by Sports Direct boss Mike Ashley, who paid £90m.

It remains uncertain how many stores will remain open after the Christmas shopping season.
