Dance festival fans horrifed to find vehicles stripped of wheels, seats and engines in “secure” car park

FESTIVAL goers were shocked to return to their vehicles and discover crooks had partially dismantled them.

Pictures show entire sets of wheels, seats and engine parts were stripped from numerous cars parked at the Creamfields festival in Cheshire.

Cars at Creamfields were vandalised and broken into in the car park
Festival goers complained about the security after paying big money for their tickets

The victims included the owner of a Range Rover who discovered almost the entire front end of the luxury vehicle was missing.

The images were posted to a Facebook with the caption: “Never thought I’d post this, but here’s the best of Stolen car parts – Creamfields car park 2019”

Cars were broken into and vandalised whilst music lovers enjoyed the festival

24-year-old plasterer Josh Hayes was one of the unfortunate ones whose car was broken into as he enjoyed acts including Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia and the Chemical Brothers at the dance festival.

“Walking back to the car after a weekend at Creamfields to find the window and lock smashed and all of the dashboard ripped apart in an attempt to steal the radio. They obviously couldn’t get it out so just left the van trashed.”

30-year-old autism support worker, Alana Fisher was also broken into while she enjoyed the music festival.

Many music lovers had left valuables in their car

She wrote: “I was totally distraught when I got back to the car, and emotional but my friends got there first. All our stuff was lying out on the bonnet and the grass, everything had been raided. My friends purse was found over at another man’s jeep which had been broken into as well.”

The post has seen significant traffic, raking in over 2,000 comments and 1,500 comments.

Rhys Lynch claimed: “Sad times for festival goers this year, professional thieves entering a secure car park removing parts from valuable car parts. The security is totally corrupt!”

The security at Creamfields has been heavily criticised online after the images emerged

Craig Sim said; “Think how much they paid for parking and it’s not even secure. I’d be suing the organising so quickly! What a joke!”

Alexander John Roberts commented; “Inside job this like.”

Andrew Riley said; “To rip of that many cars, they had to have support from security.”

Bethan Warburton said: “Security done a pure shocking job this year! Happy to take £325 for a silver ticket for 4 days, and some pay extra for parking, but isn’t happy enough to ensure that all cars are safe in the car park! Be something if they even had cameras or extra staff to monitor the car park, considering how much money they make!”

Sean Burke made a more light-hearted joke about the situation, saying; “Range Rover Evoque front bumper, headlights and tail lights for sale. DM for info. Bonnet sold.”

This is not the first time cars have been pillaged at Creamfields. In 2017, 25-year-old Wilson Imrie had to hitch a ride back from Daresbury, Cheshire to Fife, Scotland in a recovery truck after someone stole his car seats while he attended the music festival.

Nathan Wilson picked up on this and said; “Happened in 2017 too creamfields have a side business selling car parts it seems”
