Before the match started Daniel Cormier was the world’s top pound to pound fighter, but after that he was sent all the way down to No. 7 in the official UFC rankings.
Dana White did not agree with the rankings and lashed out on the MMA media who votes on the official UFC rankings.

In Latest UFC NEWS After the fight UFC president Dana White was quoted saying “ thats fucking insane”, White is unhappy with the MMA media members who vote for the official UFC rankings.
He Said:“ I was looking at the rankings today when they came out, it’s just f*****g insane. To me, this guy on a Saturday night was the No.1 pound-for-pound fighter in the world. He loses and drops to No. 7, and he loses to the No. 1 heavyweight contender in the world, and the guy who has most consecutive title defences in UFC history, and Cormier drops to No.7?
“It’s crazy. He’s much higher than that, and he’s one of the best to ever do it. He’s still one of the best in the world.”

Dana White even addressed a possible third match between Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic. He explained “ I’ll do anything Cormier wants to do, and obviously I’ll do anything Stipe wants to do, Stipe’s got to want the trilogy to.”
