DASHCAM footage shows an impatient driver cut up an HGV at lights to save 60 seconds – only to suffer instant karma at the hands of the police.
The clip shows traffic in the left lane queuing to go straight ahead at lights while the right hand lane is empty.
A car then zooms up the right hand lane and then pulls left to cut in front of the HGV.
Moments later, an unmarked police car pulls off the same manouevre before catching up with the car and putting on its blue lights.
The clip was filmed in Bradford by Martin Brazier, the driver of the HGV.
He posted the footage to social media with the caption: “Karma.”
Kyle Scott responded online: “I could understand if it was a mistake (even though the road is clearly marked) but you can tell by the way they drove it was all on purpose.
“Gotta love a bit of karma.”
Cheryl Cowan agreed, writing: “Lol aww I do love a bit of instant karma”
Ian Ashcroft said: “Should be more unmarked cars about”
Some viewers were initially confused at the clip, unaware of what the driver had done wrong.
Ryan Bancroft commented saying; “I don’t understand… What happened?”
His confusion was quickly remedied by Marc Jones who said: “Really??? It’s a clearly marked right turn only, he shot alongside and back into the straight ahead lane, clear as day what he did.”
Speaking today, Martin said: “He saved maybe a minute. It was busy but moving.
“I held back a little to make sure I could clear the junction or it would be someone’s else video of me blocking the junction.”
