Deadline at the Fringe are interviewing performers across the festival, putting 20 questions to them off the cuff.
In Bed With My Brother are the largely bored and frustrated; Dora Lynn, Nora Alexander and Kat Cory. Three mates and performance makers that think theatre is irrelevant, but are having a stab at it.
They are back at the Fringe for a second time with their show Tricky Second Album after a successful run in 2017 with their award winning show We Are Ian.
Here, the trio answer in complete unison…
- First impressions of our fair city and, why are you here? Fair Edinburgh first impressed us a while back. We’ve come back to finish where we left off, hopefully do some wooing of this big ham smelling city.
- Does your time here bring on joy or dread? Haven’t had time to analyse our feelings yet. We are hoping it will bring on joy. and bread.
- How did you travel to the capital, and are you alone or with friends? We travelled by car, and luckily we are all friends, so that journey wasn’t awkward for us. It was such a laugh. Made a lot of memories. Stopped off at all the service stations with a Greggs. Bearing in mind we’re writing this 2 weeks before we’re in Edinburgh so this is just wishful thinking.
- Where will you visit on your day off and why? We will be visiting Peebles because it’s a beautiful, historic town. And we need to take Kat’s grandma out on a day trip.
- What Scottish delicacies do you enjoy and, do any of them fill you with fear? We enjoy going to the chippy and being given two battered sausages as standard. Why would that fill us with fear?
- Which watering hole will you most likely be stopping at?
You will find us in all of them. We really like C Venues. We worked there in 2014 and got paid 200 quid for 8 weeks of work. We also got some drinks tokens, which sweetened the deal. It was like a cult, so it’s bittersweet for us that it’s gone now, we’ll have to find another place to dance until the AM. Maybe somewhere that still charges £6 a pint but pays its staff. - Which other act would you be most likely to recommend to a friend? Probably the act of treason. It’s not as big as it was in the 1700’s, but we’re still rooting for it.

Absolute scream show. - Are you a newcomer or a veteran? Somewhere in the middle.
- What do you love most about the festival? Money.
- What do you hate most about the festival? Money.
- What is your biggest fear before going on stage? God’s wrath.
- Quote yourself. What’s the best thing you’ve ever said? We’ve got a lot of corkers,…actually we don’t. We’ve got nothing. Our minds are empty vessels.
- What does success and failure mean to you? Everything.
- What is your worst habit? Committing treason.
- Most embarrassing moment? When we committed treason that time and forgot that it was still massively against the law. We were in front of the audience, but it was pretty thankful that we were naked at the time when we did it. No person wanted to stand up and intervene in what we were doing, because they might have had to come into contact with our boobies in the process.
- Where is your favourite place in the world and why? The Isle of Jura. Iconic.
- Who would you choose to be if you were not you? That is an unbelievable question
- What is your greatest ambition? To be a legend. oh wait, already ACHIEVED.Nah, we’re fucking dickheads. Our ambition is to be good people.
- How can we bring world peace? Murdering capitalism, farting on the patriarchy and stamping on the grave of William Shakespeare. In a peaceful way.
