SHOCKING images show how a 13-year-old girl was the victim of a brutal attack which resulted in her needing hospital treatment.
Madison Coggin was jumped on by a group of attackers, just feet away from her school in Gravesend, Kent.
The schoolgirl was punched, kicked, stamped on and even dragged along the ground by fellow teenagers.
Madison’s Mum Michaela Ratcliffe, also told of her disappointment on how cops were not quick enough to react to the incident which happened outside Thamesview School.
Michaela, 32, also said Madison suffered facial injuries including a fractured cheekbone and eye socket following the sickening attack by fellow pupils, with the attack coming just eight months after she joined the school.
Despite Michaela’s claims there were eight in the gang, police say only three committed the assault.
Pictures taken by Michaela show the extent of Madison’s injuries with bruises around her eyes and swelling around her face.
One image shows Madison with tears in her eyes following the distressing experience in May.
It is understood a video of the attack has also been passed on to the police.
Michaela revealed her daughter had been the subject of bullying and had received threatening messages in the weeks leading up to the incident.
The mother had been collecting Madison from school everyday in order to protect her, but on a day when Madison opted to walk home she suffered the brutal attack.
After receiving a call from a friend of Madison’s, Michaela took her to hospital where she received treatment and underwent x-rays for her injuries.
Speaking today, Michaela said: “She only started at the school in September after we moved here last June.
“They targeted her because she has a mouth on her and can stick up for herself so they didn’t like her.
“There are over 70 screenshots of threatening messages from previous months, calling her names and telling her to kill herself. The school wanted to move her but I refused.
“Madison is so angry about all the threats she has been getting and especially the attack. She is standing her ground and won’t let them win.
“She has gone back to school now but moans about it. Madison hasn’t been sleeping and she didn’t eat for two weeks. This has affected her emotionally and mentally.
“I just want to take her out of school during her lunch break so she doesn’t have to be around those threatening her.”
Michaela revealed her frustration with the police as a result of what has been happening to her daughter.
She added: “I showed the police the screenshots but they just said they will tell the school about cyber bullying.
“I’ve also wrote them a letter about the poor lack of response to this attack. They told me they were just juveniles and sat on it for a month.
“Only three are being interviewed under caution next month, which is weeks after the attack.”

A spokesman said: “Kent Police was called to a report a schoolgirl had been assaulted by three girls in Thong Lane, Gravesend, at 3.09pm on Tuesday 14 May 2019.
“The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment to a facial injury.
“Officers have spoken with a number of people involved in the incident and enquiries remain ongoing.”
Thamesview School headteacher George Rorke said the perpetrators were not from his school.
He said: “I am aware of an incident that occurred outside of school hours on Tuesday, May 14, during which one of our pupils unfortunately suffered injuries on her way home.
“Although the alleged perpetrators do not attend Thamesview School, we are working closely with the local police to find a solution for our student and her family. Several meetings have taken place since the incident, with the student and her family to try to ensure appropriate support is put in place.
“Any students who may have witnessed or are believed to have helped incite the incident will be addressed.
“The safety and well-being of all our pupils is paramount at all times and we will take all measures necessary to ensure the young people at Thamesview School can learn and socialise in a safe environment.”
Michaela said it was “heartbreaking” to see what her daughter has gone through and how she feels she “can’t get upset” in front of Madison.
She said: “It’s heartbreaking what has happened to Madison. I can’t settle when she’s out because I worry about her.
“She was out over the weekend and she seen the girls who attacked her. She said her heart just stopped. I’ve had to dye my hair black like hers to make her feel better as she’s been called a ‘goth’.
“I can’t get upset in front of her because she will get angry if she sees me. I just have to tell her they’d be stupid to do it again.”
