Enterprising Scottish pub installs speedy boarding-style ‘lager lane’ for Scotland fans

Scotland fan, Cameron Fitzsimmons, tries out the ‘lager lane’ at Scott’s of Rose Street

AN enterprising Scottish pub has installed a ‘lager lane’ in the run-up to Scotland’s UEFA Euro 2020 qualifier match against Cyprus and FIFA Women’s World Cup match against England.

Scott’s of Rose Street in Edinburgh have teamed up with McEwan’s Lager to come up with the speedy boarding-style concept that promises to eliminate queuing for a pint during the match.

Aimed at those who know what they want, customers using the lane will be given priority access to a hand-poured pint of McEwan’s Lager.

The opening of the lane on Saturday 8th June will coincide with Scotland coach Steve Clarke’s first match in charge, and will run throughout the month of June.
