A superhero themed takeover is set to wow visitors at Blair Drummond Safari and Adventure Park later this month.
The second annual superhero extravaganza will immerse visitors in an action packed package on May 24th – 27th .
Families can expect to catch a glimpse of the Edinburgh-based physical performance group, Access Parkour, as they run, jump and climb their way through the park.
Children can also enjoy a trip to the Superhero Headquarters where they can learn how to be a superhero.
Other inspired activities include a daring laser tag game from Falkirk-based Wee Heroes, interaction with real life heroes from the emergency services, and the chance to learn all about the superpowers of the safari park’s animals and insects.
Speaking of the upcoming super event, Marketing Manager Liz Gunn said: “The Superhero Takeover is fast becoming our favourite time of year at Blair Drummond Safari Park.
“We love seeing the children interacting with their favourite superheroes and learning about our animals in a totally different way.”
Visitors are encouraged to keep their eyes peeled as they make their way around the different areas of the attraction, as a superhero could appear at any minute.
Liz explained: “The parkour group was a great hit with our visitors last year, and this year we’re excited to expand this entertainment and keep visitors on their toes – their unexpected appearances will definitely make for a memorable day out.
“Our staff don’t do things by halves, and they have a reputation for going all out with their superhero costumes, so visitors can expect to be served lunch by Spiderman or encounter an animal-keeper Wonder Woman!”
In addition to superhero activities, visitors will also be able to meet striking young Amur tiger, Vitali, who was first seen by the public earlier this year.
Visitors can also expect to see lions, camels, zebras, antelopes and monkeys as they drive through the park’s wildlife reserves.
A new catering selection with a focus on Scottish provenance and a whole range of food and drink options will also be available.
The Superhero Takeover events will take place daily from 10am – 5.30pm around the site and in the new Safari Marquee on May 24th – 27th.
Tickets to the popular tourist destination cost £13.50 for children and seniors, and £16.50 for adults when purchased online and can be booked at www.blairdrummond.com. All activities are included in the cost of entry to the park.
