Wellness to be Celebrated at Scottish Festival

AN AWARD-WINNING three-day festival will return to the banks of Loch Voil this May with a focus on wellness and the wild. Mhor Festival, which has won the best regional festival award in the Scottish Thistle Awards,  is set in the surroundings of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and will take place between the 24th and 26th of May in the grounds of Monachyle Mhor Hotel. The festival will focus its line-up on wellbeing and encourages guests to rediscover their wild side by getting back in touch with nature and themselves.

AN AWARD-WINNING festival will return to the banks of Loch Voil this May with a focus on wellness and the wild.

Mhor Festival, which has won the best regional festival award in the Scottish Thistle Awards,  is set in the surroundings of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and will take place between the 24th and 26th of May in the grounds of Monachyle Mhor Hotel.

The festival will focus its line-up on wellbeing and encourages guests to rediscover their wild side by getting back in touch with nature and themselves.

Guests will be encouraged to discover new skills and activities through a range of demonstrations and workshops held in the festival’s Dutch barn including bread making and lino painting for which classes are bookable in advance.

The festival will feature music, theatre, food & drink, and a market.

The festival will also be adding to its foodie line up by introducing the Food Hall, showcasing some of Scotland’s finest produce and producers.

Key speakers who will discuss wellness include author, Gabriella Bennett and Outdoor Swimming Society Ambassador, Calum MacLean.

The festival’s annual Friday Night Feast hosted by the Mhor family will raise funds for the Cornhill Macmillan Centre following the passing of a festival friend and champion chef, Andrew Fairlie.

Wellness will be explored in the food and drink industry with guests treated to discussions with specialist foragers, herbalists and nutritionists.

Experts in mental health and wellbeing will also take the stage to talk through their stories and give advice.

Mhor Festival runs from May 24th to May 26th at Monachyle Mhor near Balquhidder in the Trossachs.
