CROCKED Hearts ace Ben Garuccio has vowed to emerge stronger from his injury nightmare.
The Australia under-23 internationalist has been ruled out for 10 months after suffering devastating knee ligament damage in a freak incident during training this week.
Garuccio will be forced to undergo surgery to repair the tear before embarking on a gruelling road to recovery.
Hearts boss Craig Levein confirmed that he is ready to allow the player to return Down Under to carry out the first portion of his rehabilitation with the support network of his friends and family in Oz.
And Garuccio, who joined the Jambos from Adelaide United last summer, penning a deal until 2021, took to Twitter to express his determination to bounce back from the set-back.
“Gutted to learn that my season is over after tearing my ACL [anterior cruciate ligament],” he wrote. “I’d like to wish Hearts the best of luck for the remainder of the season!
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my first season at Tynecastle and I’ll be working tirelessly throughout my recovery to come back stronger and help the team be successful.”
