“We’ll send the pigs to Slimming World” Chinese takeaway’s “sassy” response to complaining customer

A CHINESE takeaway has gone viral with its “sassy” response to a customer who moaned that the spare ribs were “too fatty”.

Oriental Express in Springburn, Glasgow, sarcastically vowed to send the pigs to “Swimming World”.

The takeaway enjoys an average review rating of 4.7 stars out of six on the Just Eat website but a user known only as “Paul” made clear he was not a fan.

On Friday he posted a brutal two and half star review, complaining: “Food arrived 30 minutes late.

“The ribs were the fattiest ribs I had ever had.”

Oriental Express replied: “Yeah we will make sure all the pigs go to Slimming World before being served thanks again.”

Reaction to the review has taken off on Twitter

On Facebook, Chrissie Mcllwrath said: “Poor pigs.”

Sinéad Ní Dálaigh said: “Burned, just like his next order.”

Speaking today, owner of Oriental Express, Chun Tsang, who also wrote the review in question said he tried to put a positive spin on the negative review.

He said: “It’s probably the best kind of free marketing you can get.

“Instead of taking it seriously, you have to try and make them [the reviews] nasty or try and make them funny.”

The 47-year-old also said he was thrilled to see the reaction it received on social media.

He added: “It’s good to turn the situation, at least it’s a break from Brexit.”

Last year, a takeaway in Liverpool hit the headlines following their hilarious responses to reviews left by Just Eat users.

Vanilla Gorilla normally have a very good rating, but one reviewer said they were upset to see her food had been left outside and only half of it delivered.

Vanilla Gorilla replied: “We called you six times no answer we knocked on your door several times maybe it was due to my knock being like a bailiff why you didn’t answer.

“You paid for the items so we left them outside as we received no answer I suggest you ask your neighbours if your food was tasty or the local cat maybe?”
