Jane Park puts herself up for a new job – as Hibs manager

JANE Park appears to have put herself forward to become the next Hibernian manager.

Britain’s youngest ever Euromillions winner took to Twitter yesterday afternoon to signal her intent for the job, after Neil Lennon left the post by mutual consent.

The 23-year-old said she will keep star player Florian Kamberi “sweet” and how she “won’t rotate the team every week.”

Lennon and his assistant Garry Parker left Easter Road yesterday after the pair were suspended on Friday following allegedly criticising Swiss striker Kamberi.

Shortly after the Hibees made the announcement, Park was quick to throw her name into the hat.

Whilst sharing the Hibs statement, she said: “JP for the role a will keep Kamberi sweet and I won’t rotate the team every game.”

Park says she would keep Swiss striker Florian Kamberi “sweet”.

Before this, two Hibs fans had been discussing whether they would consider Park for the role.

@djs62 said: “I agree re Strachan, but draw the line at @janeparkx for assistant mate.”

Whilst Callum Kane seemed to be more than happy with Park being involved with the management setup.

He said: “Jane would be a bigger and better Hibee and coach than some of the halfwits that’s been in our coaching team tbf.”

Reacting to her post, football fans seemed to be in two minds about the Edinburgh lass taking charge.

@joeq172 said: “Least they would get pumped.”

@TheFalcon08 commented: “Maybe that’s what the boy is needing.”

A Twitter user by the name of ‘JP’ said: “I thought you meant me for a minute there. I’m happy to let you be my assistant if you like? And as for keeping Flo “sweet” you’re definitely in charge of that! Deal?”

@pt_lee commented: “Scottish footie is s*** anyways lol.”

Hibs fan discuss the prospects of Park as the new manager.

It had been reported that Lennon and Parker were told to stay away after Kamberi was criticised at a team meeting.

A statement released by Hibs yesterday said: “Despite widespread speculation, the club confirms that neither Neil nor Garry has been guilty of any misconduct or wrongdoing and no disciplinary process has been commenced.

“The suspension, put in place to allow an internal review, was lifted by the club as part of this agreement.”

Hibs said they thanked Lennon and Parker for their efforts since joining the management setup in 2016.

Lennon also thanked the club.

He said: “I would like to thank the board, the coaching staff, the players and all the fans for making the last two and a half years so enjoyable. It has been my privilege to serve the club and I wish it every success in the future.”

Hibees daft Jane recently hit the headlines after cheekily asking her Twitter followers, “who’s wanting pumped” following their win over St Mirren at the weekend.
