A SCOTTISH MP has been trolled after she filmed her hand “shaking with rage” over the Brexit vote delay – inside the Commons chamber.
Hannah Bardell, the Nationalist MP for Livingston, West Lothian, posted the video of her trembling hand with one of the famous red lines visible beneath her feet and Theresa May audible in the background.
She captioned the video: “This is how angry I am, shaking with rage after an utterly rubbish response from the PM.
“Also because she is putting her self preservation and narrow party unity before the lives and livelihoods of my Livingston Constituents. #ragin #BrexitBourach #BrexitVote.”
But most views took the opportunity to ridicule Bardell, who introduced the Commons to the gaelic for “mess” during her question to the Prime Minister, using the phrase “cluster bourach”.
One Twitter user said: “That’s the shake I have on a Monday after a Fri-Sun stag do. You’ll be eating solids again by Thursday.”
Others wondered how she managed to keep her hand on the mobile so steady.
One commented: “Congratulations on overcoming the shakes enough to hold the camera nice and steady.”
Another said: “Clearly her right hand wasn’t quite as angry as her left hand.”
Another Twitter user commented: “Nowt to do wi the vodka, ‘honestly.’”
Other users posted gifs to mock Bardell, including the classic “I can definitely smell s***e” sketch from Scottish sketch show ‘Chewin the Fat.’
Bardell continues to be trolled for the “shaking” hand video, as social media users are posting videos of themselves also “shaking.”
One Twitter user uploaded a short clip of her hand moving side to side with the caption: “I am shaking with rage when I think about the state of Scottish education and the fact that the SNP can’t acknowledge there’s a serious problem.”
Despite this, she did also have several comments backing her fury and believed it was genuine.
A twitter user said: “Hannah. We saw your rage. Keep going. We are all behind you. Saw you at one of your first public speaking events in Aberdeen at the festival of politics in 2014. Thank you so much for standing up for Scotland and its people.”
Another said: “Just in from work you were the first from SNP I’ve heard speak. Love your passion. Hope to see more of it.”
Another Twitter user commented: “That just shows you care! Well done today. The people of Livingston are very lucky to have you fighting for them.”
Another user said: “You were brilliant. Focus your emotions on Indy. Everything else is background noise and distraction.”
Bardell has also hit the headlines recently when she decided to do keepy uppies in the House of Commons.
Keith Steele also posted a short video of himself shaking his hand and said: “My shoe is black and I’m semi raging.”
