“Great car, d***head driver” HGV suffers road rage meltdown for not pulling over at slip road

SHOCKING video shows a motorist’s 20-second road rage meltdown as he repeatedly brake-checks an HGV while making a string of obscene gestures.

The driver of a powerful Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution was enraged that the HGV driver didn’t move lane to let him join the motorway.

Seconds later, he races to get past Simon Northcliffe’s lorry, swerves in front and brake checks while obscenely gesturing out of the window.

The driver of the 143mph car repeats this several times on the M27 near Southampton before zooming into the distance.

Simon, from Dudley, West Midlands, recorded the incident on Wednesday and posted the clip to social media, commenting: “I don’t know what’s wrong with people.”

The 276 brake horsepower engine propels the “Evo” from zero to 60mph in just 4.4 seconds and the driver was obviously frustrated at not getting to power on to the motorway.

Simon, 46, wrote: “This happened to me yesterday on the M27 just passing Rownhams services heading towards Southampton dock.

“As you can see the blue Evo was on the slip road to exit the services however I couldn’t move over as I had a car alongside me.”

He added: “He decided to brake check me because I didn’t push the other car out the way. I don’t know what is wrong with people.”
