“Fajita cheater” bride back at home with hubby who sold their wedding rings online

A BRIDE dubbed the “fajita cheater” after she took off with another man days after her £30,000 Mexican wedding has returned to the marital home.

Andy Mitchell caused a sensation in June when he posted his wedding rings for sale, publicly accusing his new wife of cheating on her hen night.

But it has now emerged that despite their bitter and very public split, Andy and Meaghan Mitchell are “testing the waters” of married life at their home in Kelty, Fife.

And Andy, 40, even has the phrase “fajita cheater” tattooed on the back of his neck as a permanent reminder of their early marital troubles.

Andy uploaded a new profile picture showing him with the “fajita cheater”

Andy married Meaghan, 21, also from Kelty, in a lavish wedding ceremony in Cancun on June 3.

But he posted their wedding bands for sale for £400 just six days later, claiming she had been unfaithful on her hen night.

Meaghan denied being unfaithful before the wedding but admitted she had met and run off with another man.

To the amazement – and amusement – of Kelty locals, it has emerged the couple got back together in early October after spending four months apart.

Andy said today: “We’re seeing where it takes us. She made a mistake. She knows she made a mistake. I make mistakes. So does everyone.

“I’m not going to hold it against her. I’ve done lots of stupid things and made decisions that I wish I hadn’t.”

He added: “And if it happens again, it happens again. Then it’s my fault for getting back with her.

“We just want to move on and see what happens. We’re testing the waters. If it works it works. If it doesn’t it doesn’t.

“If it doesn’t work out then at least I don’t have to look back and think, ‘I wish I’d given it a proper go’.

“I don’t want to look back in ten years’ time with regret, thinking, ‘Oh no’.”

Remarkably, Andy now boasts a tattoo on the back of his neck which reads: “Fajita cheater.” He appears to have got the tattoo while they were still separated.

The inking proved a big hit with friends, including Reesy Corbett who wrote: “Love it.” Dean Chappell wrote: “F****** legend.” Andy responded: “Sure I’ll regret it one day but no as much as I’ll regret ever meeting the wee tramp.”

Since their reconciliation the couple have also posted pictures to Facebook from their wedding, and made comments underneath confirming that they are giving their relationship another try.

Andy has changed his profile picture to a photograph of the two dressed for their wedding, smiling and nestling into one another.

Above the caption he wrote, “Wait for it, blah blah blah”, followed by a smiley face and a middle finger.

Below, Charlie Louise commented: “All the best.”

Andy responded: “Thanks pal. If it works it works, and if not then it doesn’t. Simple really.

“Regardless of how long we’ve been together/married, most couples go through hard times, even worse than ours and some make it and some don’t.

“I’ve got it in me to keep it going, time will tell the rest.”

David Winiarski also wrote in the comments below the picture: “Aww you back with her, didn’t ken that.”

Andy replied: “Well u ken now.”

Meaghan was not available for comment but she responded to Andy’s Facebook page 4 weeks ago writing: “You’re an amazing dad and person.

“Keep doing what your doing. I love you so much and I’m proud of you.”

Andy then jokes for her to bring his coffee cop.

She writes responds: “Ok big bhoy, as long as you’re as good as last night.”

Andy writes further down: “Hate sex is best.”

On October 8, Meaghan changed her Facebook profile picture to a photo of the two on a beach together.

A week later she changed her profile picture to a shot of the two kissing on their wedding.

She subsequently posted more pictures of the two together in happier times.

Meaghan has also since changed her profile picture on Facebook

One picture posted on November 15 shows a message, “Andrew + Meaghan”, followed by a loveheart, drawn into sand on a beach.

Andy and Meaghan Mitchell married in Akumal Bay Beach Resort, Mexico, at a lavish wedding attended by friends and family on June 3 – on which they personally spent approximately £6,000.

Photos of the wedding on Facebook show the apparently happy couple frolicking on the beach with their well-dressed guests.

Barely a fortnight later Andy posted on Facebay Fife, advertising the rings: “Hi, recently I got married in Mexico on the 23rd of June and this was the wedding set I used while Meaghan Mitchell said her marriage vows.

“However, six days later I found out she started having an affair on her hen night and it carried on for eight weeks through our dream wedding.”

Meaghan denied having an affair on her hen night at the time, though had admitted that she cheated after the wedding.
