Nicola Sturgeon hosted children at Bute House for the annual Children’s Christmas Party today and joined them all in singing the theme tune baby shark.

The First Minister posted the video on Twitter this afternoon saying “So I’ve been persuaded by some of the young people to reveal the Baby Shark footage – so here’s the @scotgov Cabinet room like it has never been seen before.”

The video shows a group of kids and the First Minister all sat around the table in the cabinet office as they sing the baby shark theme.

The children wearing balloons on their heads are dancing to the song with a variety of different hand gestures.

The First Minister joins the kids in the tuneful rendition.

The children all in tune and time perform well. However, one woman shouts towards the First Minister and says to the children “I can’t hear the First Minister sing, can you?”

The First Minister posted photos on Twitter earlier in the afternoon saying “So a wee bit early, I know, but this afternoon was the annual Bute House Children’s Christmas party – this year for some brilliant young carers.

“Great fun (though I hope the footage of them teaching me the Baby Shark song, with actions, doesn’t surface any time soon!).”

The video has got many people singing the First Minister’s praises.
