Scotland winger James Forrest is the UEFA Nations League’s most lethal finisher after notching five goals from three group games.
The Celtic player added to Saturday’s brace in the 4-0 thrashing of Albania with a hat-trick in Tuesday’s 3-2 victory over Israel at Hampden as Alex McLeish’s side finished top of Group 1 in League C.
Serbia and Fulham marksman Aleksandar Mitrovic actually scored six goals but he played in six games and Forrest’s strikes came at a rate of every 41 minutes in a total of 203 minutes of action, whereas Mitrovic’s came every 89 minutes.
Forrest also registered a shot on target percentage of 71, with his five goals coming from a total of seven efforts.
Armenia’s Yura Movsisyan, Swizterlan’s Haris Seferovic and Stanislav Dragun of Belarus also scored five goals but all three played more minutes than Forrest.
