ADORABLE video shows the moment a two-year-old shopping till-obsessed girl got to do the real thing.
Layla Hunter was shopping at Tesco’s Keynesham store in Bristol with her grandparents Julie and David Griffiths.
The tot is so obsessed with her toy shopping till at home her parents pretend to buy food at home – with everything costing £2.
So when the girl, from the Kingswood area of the city, was given the chance to put through the till and “jumped at the chance”.
The video was then sent to Layla’s mum, Lisa Griffiths, who posted the cute clip to Facebook captioned with: “This little nugget had so much fun playing on the till today. Thank you to Tesco in Keynesham, Bristol,”
In the adorable clip, Layla can be seen with her hand on a packet trying to scan the item but is the assisted by the Tesco member of staff to show her how it works.
Her grandmother can be heard saying “wow” while Layla in her bright pink jacket looks amazed.
Her grandfather can be seen passing over the items for Layla to scan to help give her an extra hand.
The Tesco shop assistant is then heard saying: “You’re getting good at this” as Layla begins to understand the system and scans through the shopping using her right hand each time.
However, one of the items barcode is struggling to get picked up and the Tesco worker picks it up and turns it over and scans the item to help Layla out.
Layla looks extremely focussed as she scans each item through the till but, gives a smile after scanning the items without any help.
Before the clips ends a voice can be heard saying to Layla: “Wow, you are so clever.”
Layla looks at her grandfather extremely please before spinning around to leave the till and is assisted by the member of staff.
Speaking today Lisa Griffiths, said: “She jumped at the chance as loves playing with her pretend till and shop at home. It’s one of her favourite toys.
“She is an only child so it’s often me and her dad having to pretend to buy food so she can scan it and pay with a pretend bank card. Apparently everything is £2.
“She also loves coming food shopping with us and helping to put all the food up on to the till area.”
She added: “I thought it was so cute and felt I had to thank Tesco via their Facebook website for allowing Layla to get behind the till and to thank the lovely till assistant for letting her have a go.
“Layla was shopping in Keynesham in Bristol with my mum and dad around 12. When they got to the till, the lovely till assistant asked if Layla wanted to scan the items.”
