LIVINGSTON player-boss Kenny Miller insists the Lions are not finished in the transfer market – despite adding 11 new faces already this summer.
Six of those arrivals were handed league debuts during Saturday’s 3-1 defeat against Celtic at Parkhead, with Liam Kelly, Steven Saunders, James Brown, Egli Kaja, Stevie Lawless and Miller himself all making their bows.
Nevertheless, the West Lothian outfit, who have been linked with former Hearts defender Krystian Nowak, are keen to add depth to their ranks before the Scottish transfer window slams shut at the end of the month.
“We’re definitely in a better place off the back of Steven and James coming in but I’m looking at probably another one signing – maybe two, depending on the deals available.
“We still look a bit light in some areas.
“It’s a constant process. If someone comes out the woodwork who would make a difference we’d look at it. We wouldn’t turn that down.”
Miller admits leading the recruitment process has been one of the biggest learning curves since choosing to combine his playing duties with life in the dugout.
And he has vowed to ensure that he only brings in players who are ready to make their mark in the top-flight.
“It’s been a different challenge because you’re having to make decisions and people are looking you out to make those decisions,” continued Miller. “It’s tough in terms of recruitment because we need to maximise what we’ve got. We can’t take gambles.
“We need to make the players we bring in and the money we spend is going to be worth it and value is being added.”
