A HILARIOUS video shows a police officer trying to deal with an escaped cow – only to have to sprint for his life as the beast charges.
The footage – jokingly dubbed a “cowtastrophe” by Scotland’s justice minister – was shared by Road Policing Scotland on Twitter.
They wrote: “Sunday Blues? Here is PC Ross and his udderly amusing attempt to direct an errant cow back to its field.
“Pleased to report that neither PC Ross or any animal were harmed during this incident & despite some initial reluctance the animal returned to its field.”
In the clip, we can see PC Ross walking over to the side of the road as he tries to cajole the creature into returning home.
The officer is seen pointing before the cow slowly charges towards him, forcing the bobby to run away.
The officer nearly falls over as he runs on to the road. Thankfully, the cow pulls off the attack and starts running down the road.
The video prompted a burst of puns from Humza Yousaf, The Scottish Government’s Justice Secretary, who wrote on social media: “PC Ross with some quick moo-ves to avoid a cowtastrophe…I’ll stop now.”
BootifulBonnieBagots, wrote: “I can’t make out if this can be classed as obstructing a police officer or wasting police time but I think someone should be charged.”
Ti.doS #NHSLove #OurNHS #PeoplesVote, added: “Is this sort of thing covered in police training? I’m glad both cow and PC Ross are safe.”
Paula Rose, said: “I keep having an udder laugh over this – PC Ross you are a star.”
