A Very Brexit Musical follows the story of a newly qualified journalist who gets his first big break writing for the Maily Dail, just as a big upset in British politics is about to occur.

The show explores the Prime Minister Cavid Dameron’s decision to hold a referendum, alongside Joris Bohnson’s grasp for power in supporting the leave campaign.

The original musical comedy, written by Cambridge University students Molly Cook and Anthony Gray, weaves patriotic anthems and political satire, and promises to comment on the media representation of politics and the everyday lives of politicians.

Molly is a second-year Geography student, who is looking forward to a career in journalism, while Anthony is a third-year musician with an up-coming cathedral music job following graduation. Both are heavily involved with theatre and choral music at Robinson College, Cambridge, with Molly as the theatre society’s president.
