RETURNING to Edinburgh Fringe Festival with their latest show, Taiko Tribe, Mugenkyo are setting out to stir your soul with the rhythm of drums.
A Taiko drum group with a unique approach to entertaining, Mugenkyo combine traditional Japanese drumming with contemporary visuals and effects to showcase high-energy performances across Europe.
Previous collaborations include the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra and special performances with Scottish bagpipes, highlighting the variety of their shows.
Established since 1994, the group have appeared on a variety of British television programmes including the Brit awards and BBC Last Night of the Proms.
They are now the continent’s longest taiko drum group, and in 2002 built the UK’s first purpose-built centre for taiko drumming – the Mugen Taiko Dojo.
