EDINBURGH CITY have completed a major transfer coup by snapping up former Hibernian forward Danny Handling.
The 24-year-old underwent a medical with the capital club on Tuesday evening before penning a deal to become City’s eighth signing of the summer.
Handling was available on a free transfer after leaving Dumbarton earlier this month following their relegation to League 1.
Handling started his career at Hibs – working with City boss James McDonaugh in the youth ranks – and made more than 50 appearances for the Easter Road outfit.
He turned out in the Europa League and featured in the Hibees’ 2013 Scottish Cup final defeat against Celtic. He also enjoyed loan stints at Berwick Rangers and Raith Rovers.
Handling’s arrival follows the captures of Graham Taylor, Robbie McIntyre, Blair Henderson, Allan Smith, Andrew Black, Keiran Stewart and Conrad Balatoni.
