Hilarious moment Tesco team building member ends up in Thames

A HILARIOUS video shows the moment a Tesco worker on a team building day accidentally ended up in the Thames.

James Moss, 32, and his colleagues were on a scavenger hunt around London and had been instructed to pose for pictures doing various tasks.

One was to get a picture looking as if they were about to jump in the Thames – and James ended up literally going a step further.

Walking down a set of slippery stone steps he lost his footing and tumbled into the Thames – which was thankfully just a few inches deep at that point.

The clip begins with his friend speaking to the camera whilst showing a view of the Thames and the London Eye in the background.

He says: “So here we are at the Thames.

He then zooms in to his two friends who can be seen walking down steps towards the river, whilst taking their tops off.

The cameraman continues says: “Hold on a minute, what’s going on here? It looks like these guys are going to go in.”

James, on the right, actually loses his footing whilst he pulls his top over his head and slips.

He tries to grab his friend’s hands, but failing to steady himself, does a 180 and lands on his front.

He proceeds to bounce down the next eleven steps as Henry can be heard hysterically laughing at the turn of events.

Reaching the waters edge, he flops into the water side on – still holding the T-shirt which he had removed.

Luckily, it appears to be relatively shallow but James, now soaking wet, is engulfed head to toe, with just his back still out of the water.

He stumbles trying to get back up and ends up falling even deeper.

Eventually he manages to stand up and walk back up the way he bounced down, his boxers partially exposed by the weight of water dragging his trousers down.

He posted the footage online writing: “So this happened to me at work today.” It has now been viewed almost 1.7m times.

Even Chrissy Tiegan commented, writing: “This kind of laugh is what life is all about. thank you for giving this gift to everyone lol.”

Other users reacted with similar hilarity to the clip.

Danny Bradd wrote: “It’s the way he bum bumma bumped down the steps.” and two laughing emojis.

Ashley Nicolas wrote: “Hahahahahaha omg omg I can’t. I’m crying.”

James later revealed he was on a scavenger hunt, which was meant to be a work team building day for him and his Tesco colleagues.

Speaking today, he said: “The task at the time was to get a video of you looking like you’re about to swim in the Thames. I then ended up in there.

“We were just gathering photos and videos of various things around london.

“My team won but I ended up dressed like a total tool afterwards.

“I’m 32 and still learning how to walk up and down the stairs.”
