Rain lamb: adorable video shows curious newborn baffled by rain

AN adorable video shows a newborn lamb’s hilarious reaction as it experiences rain for the first time.

The two-week old lamb keeps looking to the heavens while tottering about a field.

The unusually curious Blue Leicester, known only as “number seven”, was filmed as raindrops fell on Newhouse of Glamis farm, Forfar, Angus last week.

In the minute-long clip the baffled creature walks backwards and appears to be trying to catch the droplets in his mouth.

Hilariously, the adorable lamb then begins to turn round in circles, backwards, completely perplexed as to what he can feel on his face and fur.

Within seconds, the lamb’s brother can be seen galloping towards the camera to see what is going on.

But his sibling, who also has the number seven painted on his wool, doesn’t seem to fazed and just carries on his day sniffing the grass.

At this point, farm owner, Kay Adam, can be heard saying: “Lamby, it’s rain.”

The camera then zooms in closer to the lambs face as he continues to pucker his mouth at the rain.

Kay shared the adorable clip onto the Newhouse Herd Facebook page last week, captioned: “When you experience your first rain drops.”

It has since attracted over 7,000 views and dozens of comments from social media users.

Vicki Van Horn wrote: “That is Hilarious.”

Nina Close wrote: “So innocent and pure.”

And Karen Downie said: “Ha! Brilliant Kay.”

Speaking today (tue), Kay said: “It was just this wee lamb that did a song and dance about it’s first drop of rain! Normally they don’t have any reactions.”
