Adorable moment Hamish the one-tonne Highland Bull gets combed by his cowboy owner

AN adorable video shows a one-tonne Highland bull with huge horns in total bliss – as he gets combed by his cowboy owner.

Hamish, who weighs more than 2,000lbs, lives on a farm near Roanoke, Virginia, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Despite his massive bulk and fearsome appearance, Hamish turns into a “wee sook” when owner Marc Stewart brushes his coat.

Video shows the gentle giant lying on his side with a look of total contentment on his features as Marc grooms him, just inches away from his deadly horns.

The adorable bull is shown holding his chin up in delight as Marc gets stuck into grooming his chest.

And just before his two minute rub down comes to an end Hamish can be seen laying his head down on the ground completely relaxed.

In the background, Marc’s other Highland bull, Kyloe, can be seen lying on the grass, with her back to the pair.

The footage was filmed yesterday (wed) on Marc’s farm and captioned: “Groom me, human.”

It has already attracted almost 10,000 views and hundreds of comments.

Sharon Scollard wrote: “Hamish in his glory! What a beauty.”

Connie Creasy said: “He sure loves that belly rub, gets right into it.”

Shannon Harrell wrote: “Just look at that face– that is one HAPPY feller right there!”

And Gail Haucke said: “You are a lucky man to have such a special relationship with your beloved animals.”

Hamish and Kyloe have a Facebook page with almost 25,000 followers.

People tune in to watch regular videos of the bulls and their incredible bond they have with their owner.

Hamish was adopted by Marc when he was only ten months old and has spent every day with the cowboy since.

There are a number of breeders of Highland cattle in the US although their ancestry stems firmly from the Highlands and the Western Isles of Scotland.

The two highland bulls rely on 700 bales of hay each winter so Marc set up a Go Fund Me page to help with costs at https://www.gofundme.com/hamishandkyloe.
