A MOTHER has shared horrific images of the head injuries she suffered after she was attacked in a pub toilet by a jealous girlfriend.
Anne-Marie Szwed had her head smashed off a sink five times by a woman in apparent revenge for attracting her boyfriend’s attention.
The mum-of-one needed a gaping wound in her scalp held together by paramedics as she was taken to hospital.
The attack, on Friday night at a pub in Coventry, left the bathroom covered in blood.
The sickening assault happened after the attacker watched her boyfriend look at Anne-Marie as she walked to the toilet at The Oak Inn in the city centre.
The former confidence coach says she is so traumatised she fears leaving the house.
Anne-Marie shared images on her Facebook page of the blood splattered public bathroom and a close up of her head split open shortly after the attack.
She wrote: “To the girl who thinks this is ok, shame on you.
“Just because your disgusting boyfriend watched me walk to the toilet I deserve to have my head smashed off the sink five times?
“I don’t know you nor him, but this shows me what you’re made of and it disgusts me.”
Speaking today (tue) she said: “It’s been a really shocking and life altering time for me so I’m still trying to process it.
“It took two medics to hold my head together to stop the blood whilst they gave be anaesthetic and stitched me up.
“Part of my previous job was to be a confidence coach, now I can’t leave the house. I can’t work and my mental health has suffered.”
Anne-Marie said around twenty police officers attended the scene along with an ambulance.
But she claims West Midlands Police have not contacted her since the incident and she has been having to chase them up for updates.
She said: “It’s very disappointing from the police as they were straight to site along with an ambulance. It was mentioned that its GBH or premeditated attempted murder at the time but it doesn’t seem like it’s being taken seriously.
“As far as I know, the police know who she is but she’s yet to be arrested and they haven’t contacted me since the night since either.”
Since Saturday the post has received hundreds of comments from outraged social media users.
Cathy Tonic wrote: “Some girls are completely stupid and give the rest of us a bad name. Stupid bitch is jealous of your beauty and obviously her disgusting dirty b****** boyfriend is just that and she obv doesn’t trust him.
“Hope your okay sweet and this doesn’t put you off going anywhere. I hope the vile bitch gets whats coming to her aswell.”
Chloe Pearson said: “I hope something has been done about this. Absolutely disgusting, sick and unwell behaviour. We all at sometime in our lives felt a tinge of jealousy, but to do this!”
Shelby Young wrote: “Girl obviously has trust issues and needs to get her self sorted. Hope you make a speedy recovery, no one deserves to have that happen to them just because someone else’s boyfriend can’t keep his eyes off other people.”
And Laura Wilder said: “Wtf!! Is this for real? If so I hope you get well soon. Their really is some sick weirdo’s about.”
The Oak Inn declined to comment.
